Description

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships invites prospective UNLV students to complete their 2026-2027 Institutional Aid App & FAFSA and answer questions they may have*. Registration for the event is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

*Please have the following information and documentation (if applicable) with you for the event:

  • It is recommended that students and their contributor(s) try to create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) IDat least 3 days prior to completing the FAFSA. Students must have a Social Security number (SSN) in order to get an FSA ID. Contributors do not need to have an SSN. 
  • Social Security numbers for you and your parents (if you are a dependent student)
    • Parents who do not have a valid SSN will be able to create a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID). View instructions on creating an FSA ID for contributors without an SSN.
  • Alien Registration Number (ARN) (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
  • Date of birth (month/day/year format) for you and your parents
  • Knowledge of your parents' current marital status
  • 2024 Federal tax information, tax documents, or tax returns, including IRS W-2 information for you and your parents (if you are a dependent student)
  • Records of 2024 untaxed income

All incoming new students are required to complete the Institutional Aid Application. Continuing students are encouraged to complete the Institutional Aid Application. Students who are ineligible to complete a FAFSA can also complete the Institutional Aid Application. Please check the UNLV Financial Aid & Scholarships website for priority deadlines
