Counseling Master's Degree Programs: Virtual Information Session
Office/Remote Location
Description
Join us for a virtual information session hosted by the UNLV Office of Graduate Admissions in partnership with the Department of Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services.
In this session, you'll get an inside look at everything you need to know about the program(s) and the application process, including:
- Program Overview — Discussion and review of the MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, M.Ed. in School Counseling, and Advanced Graduate Certificates (Mental Health, Addictions, and School Counseling). The overview will highlight each program’s mission and its alignment with current best practices, contemporary theories, and evidence-based techniques in the field. It will also emphasize the integration of supervised field experiences designed to support a progressive, theory-to-practice developmental training model.
- Admissions Requirements — prerequisites, application materials, and what a competitive application looks like
- Funding Opportunities — assistantships, fellowships, scholarships, and financial aid options available to graduate students
- Application Deadlines & Next Steps — key dates and how to get started on your application
Stay for the Q&A immediately following the session; representatives from the Department of Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services and the graduate admissions team will be on hand to answer your questions directly.
Whether you're ready to apply or just beginning to explore, we'd love to help you find your path. Your future as a Rebel starts here!
