TLC is offering a new reading/discussion group regarding the timely topic of: Challenging Topics in the UNLV Classroom. This Teaching and Learning Commons reading series is brought to you by Beth Barrie, Ph.D., vice provost for Teaching & Learning Innovation. Barrie and members of the TLC team will facilitate discussions. Please note, this conversation might involve difficult subject matter. Thank you for your kind consideration. We are grateful to be part of your important work.
Goals
- Encourage self-reflection on personal teaching philosophy regarding challenging topics.
- Identify actionable strategies to improve, adjust, or refine teaching approaches.
- Increase awareness of nuanced, often overlooked aspects of complex issues.
- Come together as one teaching community to discuss our unique UNLV students.
