Building Self-Compassion
Office/Remote Location
Description
Have you ever found it hard to let go of something you wished you had done differently? Or has anyone ever said to you: “you need to be kinder to yourself?” If so, you are not alone. For most of us, showing compassion to ourselves is harder than showing it to others. To that end, this huddle will focus on building self-compassion, that is, treating yourself with the same kindness, understanding, and care you would offer a friend who is struggling with a setback or difficult emotion. You will learn and discuss skills to improve grace and patience for yourself. When you treat yourself with more compassion and understanding, you become more resilient to life’s inevitable stressors, support more positive moods and thinking, and even improve your relationships with others.
*Note: This huddle includes some live guided practices
