During this synchronous workshop, participants will explore the various types of online course  assessments. WebCampus functionality can be leveraged with regard to assessment type, assessment placement, and assessment purpose. Specific forms of assessment that will be covered include formative, summative, authentic, high stakes, and low stakes.  Each of these assessments allows you, as the instructor, to learn more about the student, the level of engagement students have with the content, and their overall level of learning that has taken place.

By the end of this synchronous course, participants will be able to:

  • Define High Stakes Assessment, Low Stakes Assessment, Formative Assessment, and Summative Assessment
  • Locate spaces in WebCampus to create High Stakes Assessments and Low Stakes Assessments
