Description

Join us for a hands-on workshop with artist Natalie Delgado, who will lead participants through some of the techniques she used while she was creating drawings for the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art’s Still Motion exhibition. Searching for new ways to introduce chance to her work, the artist collaborated with natural elements such as wind and water to bring fresh touches of spontaneity and surprise into her imagery.

This workshop takes place at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art on Saturday, June 25th, from 2 – 4 pm. It is free and open to participants of all ages. Masks are recommended indoors on the UNLV campus. Parking on weekends is free. No RSVP is necessary. All materials will be provided by the Museum. ASL interpretation will be provided for this workshop.

This workshop was supported, in part, by the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and the state of Nevada. Still Motion is produced in partnership with the Womxn of Color Arts Festival and made possible by the Art Bridges Foundation, the Laura Aguilar Trust of 2016, the AlunAlun Dance Circle, and the UNLV Architecture Studies Library.

ASL interpretation will be provided for this workshop with funding from Nevada Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
