Alt Breaks Spring Break Trip - Conservation & Ecology on Catalina Island, CA (apply by April 19))
Description
Travel to Catalina Island Conservancy to learn more about ecology justice. This trip will contain various service projects that can range from trail maintenance to gardening, to seed collection. Participants will get a better understanding of social identity, social justice, racism, and other important topics and how they intersect with the topic of ecology justice.
Price
Trip is free of cost and only open to UNLV students who are enrolled for the Spring 2026 semester.
There are also two mandatory pre-trip meetings for all trip applicants on Thursday, April 23 and Thursday, April 30 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
Admission Information
Spots on the trip are limited, and interested students must submit an application to request a spot on the trip. Applications will be considered on a first submitted, first reviewed basis. A waitlist will also be created and utilized if any selected participants forfeit their spot.
Early applications are encouraged, and the final deadline for applications is by Sunday, April 19.
