Description

AI is transforming the arts—but in whose image and to what ends? Join us for a global transdisciplinary webinar that critically explores the disruptive impacts of artificial intelligence on creative labor, education, and artistic identity—while also imagining new, generative possibilities for artistic practice in the age of intelligent machines.

As generative AI technologies increasingly shape how art is made, taught, shared, and valued, artists and educators are grappling with urgent questions: How is AI affecting creative labor, authorship, and equity? What’s being lost in the automation of artistic processes—and what new forms of expression might emerge?

This session, hosted by a2ru, the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities, and facilitated by Yvonne Houy, Ph.D. (College of Fine Arts), invites participants to explore the disruptive effects of AI while also imagining more inclusive and ethical futures for artistic work.

Whether you're a practicing artist, researcher, teacher, or cultural worker, this webinar offers critical insights and generative strategies for engaging with AI in the arts.
