The Undergraduate Certificate in Applied Psychometry is designed to meet the requirements for supervised practice in the State of Nevada job as a psychometrist and/or school psychology assistant. Completers are trained to administer and score certain psychological, education, vocational, social, emotional, and/or behavioral tests under the direct supervision and observation of the licensed psychologist or school psychologist.

Learning Outcomes

  • Administer, score, and report the results of a variety of psychological, neuro-psychological, vocational, personality, intellectual, alcohol, substance abuse, and sex offender tests and assessments under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or school psychologist.
  • Distribute testing materials and explain specific test procedures; administer and score testing and assessment instruments as directed by a licensed psychologist or school psychologist.
  • Monitor and document behavior and prepare test results, make preliminary interpretations as required for diagnosis, therapy and research by a licensed psychologist or school psychologist.
