We offer a wide variety of recurring events and special events throughout the school year! These events include Water Workshops, Family Swim, Swim the Distance Challenge, Pool Parties, Raves, Water Fitness Classes, Dive in Movies, Triathlons and more!
All events are free to members and take place at the SRWC Pool.
Our free workshops are designed for persons of all skill levels to increase their swimming skills and general water safety. Workshops take place in the pool from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Beginner will take place from 6-7 p.m. and Intermediate/Advance will take place from 7-8 p.m.
Beginner workshops will teach participants how to be safe and comfortable in shallow and deep water. Participants will learn basic water safety, floating, swimming on their front and back, two different kicks, and treading water.
Intermediate workshops will teach participants how to further develop their stroke techniques in freestyle, backstroke, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly. Participants will also learn flip turns and have an opportunity to learn how to dive.
Advanced workshops will work to fine tune developed swimmers stroke techniques and mechanics. Participants will complete high intensity workouts lead by an instructor. Participants will also learn how to read, write, and develop swimming workouts.
Come enjoy the pool at the SRWC with your family. Members are welcome to bring their children on Fridays from 6-8pm to use the pool as a family.
Family Swim for Fall 2019 will run weekly from August 30th - December 6th.
Members must be actively supervising their children at all times while using the pool. The recommended ratio of adults to children is 1:3 for swimmers and 1:1 for non-swimmers.
*Family Night will be held during family swim hours every first Friday of the month that will include dry land activities for the whole family to enjoy!
Swim the Distance Challenge
Can you swim the distance? Over the course of the semester, challenge yourself to beat our swim the distance challenge. Over the course of the Fall 2019 semester, we are challenging members to swim from Las Vegas to Area 51! If you complete the challenge you will get a prize and be entered into the grand prize drawing. Participants that complete the challenge more than once will receive additional entries for the prize drawing.

Rules & Additional Guidelines
The maximum number of children allowed for any party is 15.
Each child five years and younger must be accompanied with an adult in the pool at all times.
Children that are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper. Swim diapers can be purchased on site.
Outside pool toys, life jackets and floating devices are not allowed. All pool items will be supplied.
The party host will be allowed to arrive 30 minutes before the start time of the party to decorate the wet classroom. Glitter, confetti and latex balloons are not permitted.
Outside food and drink are allowed.
Parents will have to complete a waiver for every minor that enters the facility. These waivers will be available prior to the party and can be sent electronically.
Certified lifeguards are included in the birthday package. One lifeguard is proved for every five children, and will meet the requirements of a 1:5 ratio.
The men's and women’s locker rooms are available, as well as an inclusive locker room.
It is the responsibility of the guest to bring their own towels and goggles. We recommend that the party host brings extra towels in case their guest forget.
No additional charge for parents to swim with their children.
Pool parties that wish to have a private party will have the same amenities with an additional buy-out fee.
