Swim the Distance Challenge

Reach Your Peak to Swim the Distance! This fall the SRWC invites you to swim the distance by swimming the heights of some of the tallest mountains in the world and beyond! With the completion of each peak you will receive a swim cap and if you can reach the peak of Olympus Mons of Mars you will be entered to win a grand prize!

The Distance(s):

  • Mt. Charleston (Highest Peak in Southern Nevada): 11,916 ft = 2.26 Miles = 3977.6 yds or 160 laps
  • Denali (Highest Peak in America): 20,310 ft = 3.85 Miles = 6776 yds or 271 laps
  • Everest (Highest Peak in the world): 29,032 ft = 5.5 Miles = 9680 yds or 388 laps
  • Olympus Mons (Highest Peak in our solar system, on mars): 72,000 ft = 13.64 Miles = 24006.4 yds or 960 laps

To Participate:

  • Sign up with the lifeguards
  • Swim (make sure you count your laps!)
  • Report the distance swam to the lifeguards and they will add it to your tracking sheet.
  • Swim the distance and receive a prize and entry to win the grand prize!

Pool Parties

2 Hour Party Packages Include:

  • 1 hour in the pool exclusive use of the leisure pool
  • 1 hour in the party room
  • Special Gift for the Special Child!
  • Pool Toys to use while at the party

Rules & Additional Guidelines

  1. The maximum number of children allowed for any party is 15.
  2. Each child five years and younger must be accompanied with an adult in the pool at all times.
  3. Children that are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper. Swim diapers can be purchased on site.
  4. Outside pool toys, life jackets and floating devices are not allowed. All pool items will be supplied.
  5. The party host will be allowed to arrive 30 minutes before the start time of the party to decorate the wet classroom. Glitter, confetti and latex balloons are not permitted.
  6. Outside food and drink are allowed.
  7. Parents will have to complete a waiver for every minor that enters the facility. These waivers will be available prior to the party and can be sent electronically.
  8. Certified lifeguards are included in the birthday package. One lifeguard is proved for every five children, and will meet the requirements of a 1:5 ratio.
  9. The men's and women’s locker rooms are available, as well as an inclusive locker room.
  10. It is the responsibility of the guest to bring their own towels and goggles. We recommend that the party host brings extra towels in case their guest forget.
  11. No additional charge for parents to swim with their children.
  12. Pool parties that wish to have a private party will have the same amenities with an additional buy-out fee.
