Our Bus to the Barrick program enables K-12 CCSD groups to visit the Barrick for free by providing fully funded CCSD buses. Students are transported from school to the museum where they take part in guided tours of the exhibitions followed by hands-on workshops. Interested teachers are encouraged to attend one of our Educator Nights periodically advertised on the Museum’s website, or contact CCSD Program Manager Cheryl Wagner at wagneca@nv.ccsd.net. We host a maximum of 40 people per group, including adult chaperones. For safety we require one chaperone per 12 children.

We all loved the artwork, and learned many new things about art, and the different perspectives that people can see art through. It was a very interesting experience for all of us. I never really took the time to think about what art represents and what different paintings and sculptures could mean, until yesterday. Visiting the museum opened my mind to new things. - Daija Shivers, Victoria Fertitta Middle School

Program spaces are limited and dependent upon generous donations to the Bus to the Barrick Program fund. If your CCSD school is unable to take part in Bus to the Barrick you are welcome to book a free group tour and workshop, but transport will not be covered by the museum.
