On Oct.17, the enhanced Change Job experience will go live in Workday. The updated design streamlines the entire business process from start to finish by simplifying navigation. These changes aim to improve data accuracy, reduce transaction time, and increase completion rates.
Initiating a Job Change
You can start a job change in two ways:
- Type Start Job Change in the search field.
- Click the Actions button from the employee's profile to display the menu options. Then select Job Change and choose Start Job Change to begin.
Job Change Reasons
Job Change reasons have been enhanced to make it easier to track employee movement across the university and system. They include:
- Auto Progression
- Change Contractor End Date
- Demotion-Involuntary
- Demotion-Voluntary
- Location Change
- Move to Another Manager
- Move to Another Position on my team
- New Job/Conversion
- Promotion – Academic
- Promotion – Administrative
- Promotion – Classified
- Reclassification
- Request Transfer
- Resident Progression
- Transfer within NSHE
