What accomplishments have made you most proud here at UNLV?

I'm most proud of my ability to persevere through my time at UNLV while balancing multiple roles. As a mother working full-time and pursuing an advanced degree, it took a lot of sweat equity and resilience. Graduate school isn’t easy, and managing all those responsibilities simultaneously is something I take great pride in.

What advice do you have for current UNLV students?

Understand that missteps are part of the journey—and that’s okay. Life will happen, and your path may look different than you initially planned. What matters is having the perseverance to keep going. Be kind to yourself and recognize that success looks different for everyone. 

Tell me about you as a person, not just a professional. Favorite hobbies? Favorite foods?

I love spicy vegetarian food—anything with a kick is right up my alley. I’m also a big fan of the outdoors, especially hiking. It’s my way of decompressing and reconnecting.
