UNLV School of Music's Amy Brown (Assistant Professor and Coordinator, Music Education, Pedagogy, and Practice) has been elected to serve on the National Board of Trustees for the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA) for the 2026-2029 term.

Amy was chosen for this position based on her successful work with children and educators, dedication to the arts, and superior leadership skills. As a member of the National Board of Trustees (NBT), Amy will contribute to the strategic direction of AOSA, help shape organizational policies, and support initiatives that advance music education nationwide. The NBT plays a crucial role in guiding AOSA's mission to provide superior professional development opportunities for music educators across the country.

Serving on the National Board of Trustees in AOSA is an honor. We hope you support Amy in this opportunity that contributes to the advancement of music education throughout the country. As part of her responsibilities, Amy will attend the upcoming Professional Development Conference in Richmond, VA, November 4-7, 2026 to engage with the AOSA community and prepare for their trustee responsibilities.
