The list of speakers for the 2026 Visiting Artist Lecture Series has been announced. Sponsored by UNLV’s Department of Art and College of Fine Arts, the series invites cutting-edge artists, designers, critics, and art historians from around the nation to share their insights in person.

Normally all of the lectures would have taken place in the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art auditorium, but, due to our current roof refurbishment and exhibition installation, most of them will be located elsewhere on the UNLV campus. All of the talks from September 10 to October 15 will take place in classroom CHB A110, which is inside Building A of the Carol C. Harter Building Complex

Two of the talks will take place at the Museum: Justin Favela on November 5 and Lee Ambrozy on November 12.

Two of the speakers, Jackie Amézquita and Amy Elkins, held solo exhibitions at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art in spring 2026.

All of the talks run from 7- 8:15 p.m. They are free and open to everyone.
