Recently, cybersecurity leaders, academic researchers, and industry CISOs gathered at the Strip View Pavilion at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) for a landmark event: "Weathering the Storm: Cybersecurity in the AI Era."

Co-hosted by the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), RSAC, and the Nevada Institute of Cybersecurity (NIC) at UNLV, the summit provided a crucial forum for evaluating emerging risks, forging strategic partnerships, and establishing frameworks to secure autonomous AI systems.

In recent weeks, the cybersecurity community has watched AI systems operate in ways previously unimagined—bringing both breakthrough capabilities and novel threats. The summit served as the launchpad for a new CSAI and NIC partnership which will have UNLV researchers collaborating with industry leaders.
