Why is it important to give back? 

I think it's so important to give back to the community that nourished me so much. I didn't expect to love my grad program so much, or miss it as much, so I just wanted to get back in there and definitely speak to all the professors I had. Also, to thank people who have taken what they've learned in UNLV's program and just soared with it. 

What was a fun or unique class you took at UNLV? 

Future issues in higher education, with Dr. Doris Watson. It made me aware of current issues in higher education, like the closing down of institutions all over America or the rise of contingent faculty, as opposed to tenured faculty. Instead of making me feel pessimistic, it made me feel optimistic and ready to tackle these issues and ready to be here for my students. 

What is something you think people should know about you?

I like having a random hobby every season to avoid the void of life. Last year, I was really into grilling. Before that, I was really into camping, hiking, and photography. I have had a lot of fun hobbies. I like learning new things. 3D printing is going to be my next hobby.
