Serve in a leadership capacity on the alumni college board your degree is associated with. Elections take place annually and many boards host engaging events, scholarship fundraisers, and functions to support their respective college or school. Review the list of active chapters.

Organized by special interest, these clubs are led by volunteers of a similar interest such as racial and ethnic identities, athletic alumni, extracurricular affiliation, military and veteran, etc. Review the active affinity clubs or consider starting a new club!

The UNLV Alumni Association is governed by a dynamic board of directors. Each director is elected for two-year terms and applications are accepted annually. The work of the Alumni Association board is done through the several board committees. Committees are the backbone of engaging alumni in university life after graduation. Committees meet regularly to discuss policy and procedures and to implement committee goals and objectives. View a list of current committees.

Share your knowledge or represent your employer at UNLV! Alumni can serve on career panels, participate in mentorship programs, or support Career Fairs.

Volunteers are instrumental in executing meaningful engagement opportunities and events by helping with registration, providing hospitality, assisting with troubleshooting, and serving as an event ambassador as a table host/ess. Time commitments typically run 90-minutes to 2-hours in length for events, unless otherwise specified. Samples of events include:

Social Media Ambassadors

Social media ambassadors support the digital engagement strategy of the UNLV Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement through community relations, online content, and digital marketing. Social media ambassadors will share unique content from their personal online handles as well as share content and images provided by UNLV.
