UNLV was the most affordable and convenient option for me, allowing me to stay at home and experience college life without worrying nearly as much about how to pay for everything

I really enjoy studying either in Pida Plaza or the Business Building so I can enjoy the nature and greenery of campus (to me it almost doesn't feel like I'm even in Vegas). But, if you prefer fully indoors and still want that feeling, the 5th floor of Lied Library or the WHI atrium are great alternatives!

I love just being on campus and hanging out with my friends. There's plenty of free or low-cost events around campus you can do for a fun night out and I highly recommend making the most of your time at college and creating those memories

I chose UNLV because it’s one of the few universities where I could study Economics while also engaging directly with public policy issues through programs like Brookings Mountain West and CSUN. The location and resources here create a strong connection between classroom learning and real-world policy work.

I’d want them to know that everyone’s UNLV experience looks different, and that’s a good thing. Whether you’re coming from Las Vegas or out of state, you’ll find your place here. Being nervous is normal as college is a big step, but UNLV is a welcoming community that helps you find your path.

My favorite thing to do on campus is spending time in spaces where I can learn and collaborate, such as the Student Union or Lied Library.

I chose UNLV because being on campus makes me feel like I belong and it is the place I feel I can just be myself!

Getting involved on campus is important because you will meet some of the most amazing people who will be there for you when you need them and experience so many things you might have never done before.

I choose UNLV because I was born in Las Vegas and UNLV is really affordable for Nevada residents.

I chose UNLV because I knew I couldn't stay in Chicago for my career. There is more opportunity for music out west. A big thing too is, I don't have to deal with snow.

My favorite thing to do on campus is hangout with my friends in the residence halls. No matter what day it is, you can hangout with friends. I've been able to meet many people and friends everyday in the dorms.

Getting involved is so important because it helps build a community for you to be in. No matter if getting involved is major based, clubs/sports, or even student work, it's important to have people you connect with. You make your own community at college. Put yourself out there!

Getting involved on campus has opened me up to acting opportunities, friendships, and allowed me to explore otherwise unknown spots on campus. Not to mention the awesome prizes (I got Neon Museum tickets).

I am a stage and screen acting major and I will absolutely let you know that I am. I can talk my head off about the fine arts department, upcoming events, and shows.

I chose to attend UNLV because it was an affordable option which can help me save money for Graduate school. We are also the 2023 Mountain West runner-ups for Football which is cool because I want to be a physical therapist for athletes.

My favorite study spot on campus is the business building. It gives an outdoor type vibe because you are sitting in a courtyard, but it is covered so it does not feel like 100 degrees outside. Being outside helps me focus, but it is not super hot so I get the best of both worlds.

My favorite thing to do on campus is go to the student union and get food. There are quite a few options for food on-campus so I like choosing from the variety. Plus, it is a great spot to hang out with friends.
