Rimi Marwah

Rimi Marwah is the Director of Advising in the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs. She earned both her B.S. and M.S. from Kansas State University, located in Manhattan, Kansas (AKA the "Little Apple"). Rimi started her career in higher education as an academic advisor in the Student Development Center (currently known as the Academic Success Center - ASC) providing advising for exploring majors and teaching a freshman seminar course. She also oversaw the Early Studies and Peer Mentoring programs. As the Associate Director, she was instrumental in the planning and eventual implementation of the University Studies degree. Rimi stepped away from advising for a few years to start a campus-wide tutoring program which grew into the Learning Support unit of the ASC. She was responsible for: campus-wide tutoring; supplemental instruction; academic success coaching; an academic Early Alert system; and the math bridge program all of which were designed to positively impact campus retention and graduation rates. She has been actively involved in local, regional and national organizations for advising and learning support. Rimi has a passion for traveling and exploring the world; she also loves to entertain and be entertained with good food, books and movies.
