The club is non-political and exists solely to promote sports shooting, responsible firearm safety, employee engagement, and friendly competition.

About the STR Club

The STR Club was established following UNLV's participation in the 2026 Las Vegas Corporate Challenge, where employees achieved:

2nd Place
Skeet
6th Place
Trap
8th Place
Range Shooting

Beyond the competition, employees from across the university discovered a shared passion for sports shooting, teamwork, and friendly competition. The STR Club was created to continue that momentum by offering year-round opportunities to practice, learn, and compete together.
