Zhipei Sun is a psychological assistant and a graduate of the PsyD program at the Wright Institute in the Bay Area. He was born and raised in Beijing, China. In 2018, he earned his B.A. in Psychology (Intensive Track) from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and in 2020, he completed a master’s degree in clinical psychology with a concentration in psychotherapy from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Clinically, Zhipei primarily utilizes third-wave CBT within a transdiagnostic framework. He has experience providing ERP and working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and a range of other psychological concerns. His approach is trauma-informed and integrates elements of psychodynamic, existential, family systems, and feminist therapy perspectives when appropriate to best support each client’s individual needs. He has experience working with diverse individuals, couples, and groups navigating emotional challenges, life transitions, and mental health concerns.
