Biography

Veronica Mullins, M.S., CPC-I, is a doctoral student in counselor education and supervision at UNLV. She earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from UNLV, where she also completed her undergraduate training in psychology and neuroscience through the Honors College. Her work spans clinical practice, research, teaching, and community engagement. Clinically, Veronica has provided therapy to children, adolescents, and adults across diverse settings, with experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, and LGBTQIA+ identities. She has contributed scholarship on intersectional advocacy, with publications featured in the International Journal of Inclusive Education and the LGBTQ Policy Journal at Harvard Kennedy School. At UNLV, Veronica has served as a guest lecturer in graduate-level counseling courses, presenting on group counseling and trauma-informed care. She has also delivered continuing education training for legal professionals through the State Bar of Nevada and the American Public Human Services Association, focusing on trauma, resilience, and mental well-being in high-stress professions. In the community, she volunteers as a camp counselor for children, adolescents, and adults with autism, as well as individuals affected by childhood cancer. She is currently the administrative coordinator for NV|Forward, where she supports large-scale student apprenticeship initiatives through program coordination, student support, and cross-sector collaboration.
