Biography
Albert Lin, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor-in-Residence of Information Systems at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where he teaches courses in business and data analytics, computer networking, and introduction to information systems. He is deeply dedicated to student learning and is committed to inclusive and supportive teaching practices that foster student engagement and success across diverse backgrounds.
Lin brings robust professional experience in accounting, auditing, information systems, finance, and taxation, having worked across multiple industries and organizational settings. This hands-on background provides him with a practical understanding of business operations and decision-making, which he integrates into his teaching and research.
Before joining UNLV, Lin served as a visiting assistant professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he taught multiple sections of business statistics and analytics. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
Lin’s research explores the intersection of technology innovation, business intelligence, and strategy. He has presented his work at national academic conferences, including the annual Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) meeting and the annual Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) conference.
