Tracey West earned a B.S. in business management from Bentley University and an M.Ed. program designed to develop leaders in English language education, known as Project E3. It was this work that brought her to UNLV. After 16 years of classroom experience, West joined the Department of Early Childhood, Multilingual, and Special Education as a visiting lecturer.
West’s goal is to reach beyond the students in her classroom by instructing and coaching other pre-K through 12th-grade teachers on creating culturally and linguistically responsive learning environments and adopting equitable teaching practices that leverage the resources of emergent bilingual learners.
