Biography

Timothy Simon is a technical director and maker. Timothy is in his final semester completing his Master of Fine Arts in Technical Direction at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Originally from Galloway, New Jersey, he holds a bachelor of arts in Theatre Design and Production from Stockton University. His work has allowed him to travel all over the country and even internationally, and he has presented work at the United States Institute for Theatre Technology annual conferences. In addition to his technical direction work, he works in design areas such as lighting, scenic, and projection. Outside of theatre, he is interested in video work and has been working with the SYNSHOP livestream, doing camera operator work for live streaming events.

His recent technical directions include: Cinderella: A Panto for Las Vegas and The Cherry Orchard at the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, and Is It Art?, produced by the CFACoLAB and presented at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Is It Art?, while at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, received a five-star review from The Scotsman Newspaper.
