Research

The Qiao group at UNLV focuses on developing and synthesizing low-toxicity colloidal QDs with precise size control and high photoluminescence quantum yield in the SWIR (900-1700 nm) range. The goal is to reduce costs and improve the efficiency of optical sensing, such as for autonomous driving. The group also aims to enable on-demand, accurate integration of colloidal quantum emitters with photonic structures, tackling engineering challenges with chemistry tools.
