My research focuses on young children’s language and literacy development and the impact of professional development (training and coaching) on teacher’s implementation of strong literacy instructional practices. The National Early Literacy Panel determined that specific instructional practices were predictive of later literacy student achievement. My research is focused on determining the most effective types of professional development that impact teaching practices and student outcomes.
