Taylor Wright

Biography
Taylor Wright is finishing her second year of the Creative Nonfiction MFA Program at UNLV. She holds a BA in Playwriting from the University of Iowa and was a finalist for the 2023 Dramatists Guild National Fellowship. She recently served as a contributing editor for Witness Magazine and was the marketing and event logistics coordinator for Interim Poetics last spring - producing the offsite reading in DTLA at #AWP25. From 2024-25, she led the “Page to Stage: Performing for Writers” workshop in partnership with the Black Mountain Institute (BMI). This past summer, she attended the Fine Arts Work Center (FAWC) studying under Carmen Maria Machado and Deborah Jackson Taffa. She is currently serving as president of Neon Lit and managing social media and marketing for the MFA/Ph.D. Creative Writing Program. (@mfaunlv) Some of her proudest accomplishments include working for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences for the past decade, previously serving as the publicist and patron manager for the Tennessee Williams and New Orleans Literary Festival, and marrying the banjo-playing man of her dreams
