Susanna Phillips Newbury (she/her) is an associate professor of art history at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She completed her undergraduate degree at Oberlin College, and her Ph.D. at Yale University.

Her research and teaching interests focus on the social history of 20th and 21st century art, histories of photography and architecture, urban studies, and economic geography. Her first book, The Speculative City (University of Minnesota Press, 2021) was a finalist for the College Art Association's Charles Rufus Morey award.
