SJ Kim is an associate professor of Entertainment Engineering and Design, an interdisciplinary program that belongs to two colleges - the College of Engineering and College of Fine Arts at UNLV. With extensive technical background spanning augmented virtual reality and cyber-physical systems, SJ holds educational degrees in mechatronics (bachelor's), robotics (master's), and human-computer interaction (Ph.D.). Kim possesses professional experience from real-world business ventures focused on 3D visualization and industry experience working with Samsung, Time & Space Co., and HP Labs. Kim’s interests are centered on spatial computing, leveraging XR, and AI.
