Shahla Fayazpour obtained her doctoral degree from UNLV in 2017. Her research interests focus on Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and immigrant students and parental involvement during her doctoral program. After obtaining her Ph.D., Fayazpour worked as an English language learner (ELL) coordinator in a secondary charter school and taught as a part-time instructor in the Department of Teaching & Learning at UNLV.
