Shae Deschutter is a UNLV alumna completing both her Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice and Masters of Education in Higher Education Leadership as a rebel. As an undergraduate she was a low income first-generation college student and embraced the many opportunities UNLV offers its students. It was through her campus involvement that she realized UNLV was where she wanted to build a career. Shae has worked at UNLV since 2007 and worked in both the Registrar’s Office and Financial Aid and Scholarships before accepting her position as the College of Engineering’s Interventional Advising Coordinator in 2015. She has a passion for understanding and impacting student retention and enjoys using her experience and knowledge to help students find their own success. Outside of the office, she enjoys running and spending time with her family.
