Why did you choose the obstetrics and gynecology residency program at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV?
My audition rotation was extremely influential in my decision to choose UNLV. From the very beginning, it was clear that the program fostered strong relationships and a sense of camaraderie that often developed into lifelong friendships. It was also one of the few programs I encountered where interns are given extensive hands-on training from the start of residency. I knew that if I matched here, I would receive outstanding clinical and surgical training within an exceptionally supportive environment — something that was incredibly important to me. I could not be happier with my decision.

What are your interests within obstetrics and gynecology?
I don’t know if there is one part of OB-GYN I can pinpoint as my favorite, but I do have a lot of interest in menopause medicine. I plan to incorporate it into my practice one day so I can help treat people like my mom.

What is your favorite thing to do in Las Vegas?
I love to hike and spend time outside, especially in Red Rock, Mount Charleston, and Valley of Fire.

What is one fun fact about you?
I have an extra bone in my foot.

What is one piece of advice you would give to candidates interested in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program?
Trust your gut when it comes to choosing a residency program. Self-doubt can be incredibly common during this process, but it is important to listen to yourself and trust that everything will work out the way it is meant to. One of my favorite sayings from my mother-in-law is, “More will always be revealed.” To me, this means not dwelling on things that are outside of your control and instead focusing on enjoying the journey toward becoming an OB-GYN.
