Sarah Barron is originally from Michigan but now calls Nevada home. She is a first-generation college graduate, earning her bachelor’s degree in human resource development and a master’s degree in higher education leadership with an emphasis in social justice from Oakland University (OU) in Rochester, Mich. Barron has more than 17 years in higher education at both the community college and university levels. She has a passion for meeting students where they are at and helping them achieve their educational goals. Outside of work, Barron enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Chloe and Mazie.
