Biography
Samuel Friend is proudly rooted in his hometown of Las Vegas. His diverse background has enabled him to embrace various roles within the music industry, including composing music for Cirque du Soleil, touring as a front of house sound engineer, and working in some of Las Vegas' premier commercial recording studios. He holds a bachelor of arts in music with a minor in music technology from UNLV, along with a bachelor of science in communications from Dixie State University. With an innovative approach to education, Samuel is also a published author of two books, The Pendulum Process, and Audio in the Pendulum.
As a sound engineer in both studio and live concert environments, Samuel has collaborated with an array of artists across multiple genres, such as H.E.R., Megan Thee Stallion, Celine Dion, ASIA, Lou Gramm, Steve Augeri, Bill Champlain, and many others. Beyond his work with musical talents, Samuel has also made his mark on a variety of commercial and media projects, with his work featured during the Super Bowl and in advertisements for McDonald's, MGM, and Formula 1.
