As the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Associate Dean for Finance and Facilities, Ron Bates ensures that all Kerkorian School of Medicine operations, including undergraduate medical education, graduate medical education, research and clinical faculty support, run efficiently and meet desired financial goals and objectives, allowing students and staff to thrive in a positive environment.

Ron has been with the school of medicine since its inception. He developed the financial infrastructure and continues to design and implement the financial support needed as the school grows. Ron was instrumental in creating the faculty practice plan and has been a vital leader in executing the financial obligations for the accreditation process.

Ron has over 18 years of experience helping companies develop forward-thinking financial solutions to real business obstacles. His desire to achieve excellence has allowed him to champion teams to create and implement financial improvements throughout his career.

Ron holds an MBA from Rockhurst University, Kansas City, MO, with an emphasis in finance and international business.
