Dr. Robin L. Weltman joined UNLV School of Dental Medicine, department of Clinical Sciences, May 1, 2021. Prior to UNLV, she taught at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston (UTSD) where she attained the rank of professor and led the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics as program director for 10 years.

She is board-certified, a diplomate of and examiner for the American Board of Periodontology, and recipient of multiple internal and external teaching and mentorship awards. During her tenure with UTSD, Dr. Weltman mentored eight junior faculty members, authored or co-authored more than 40 abstracts and peer-reviewed articles, and served on more than 50 thesis and supervisory committees.
