Biography
Roberto Aguayo, Jr., MEd, is the manager of community pathway programs at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. In this role, he develops, implements, and oversees educational initiatives that proactively support prospective students, ensuring that they have the resources necessary to successfully navigate the path to medicine. The role involves cultivating vital collaborative relationships across the university and the broader community to maximize student opportunities for academic preparedness and essential professional development, directly aligning with the school’s mission to build a community-focused healthcare workforce.
A proud UNLV alumnus, Aguayo earned both his bachelor’s degree in social work and his master’s degree in higher education from UNLV. His professional experience spans multiple sectors, including the Clark County School District, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, and UNLV Health — where he developed a strong foundation in community engagement and holistic student support. Driven by a passion for leadership and institutional impact, he intends to pursue a doctorate in educational leadership, focusing on medical school advancement. His professional focus includes championing access to higher education, specifically in the context of the professional development of future healthcare professionals.
