Rebecca Rice (Ph.D., University of Colorado Boulder) researches and teaches organizational communication. Her research focuses on inter-organizational collaboration, high reliability organizing, resilience, and emergency management. Recent projects explore AI in community resilience efforts, emergency management responses to cascading disasters, and risks to researchers in qualitative fieldwork. She teaches courses in topics including organizational communication, leadership, risk and crisis communication, and specializes in experiential and simulation-based learning techniques.
