Biography
Pearl C. Kim, Ph.D., is an assistant professor-in-residence in the Department of Healthcare Administration and Policy at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She teaches courses in U.S. healthcare systems, analytics and decision support, cultural competence, and long-term care management.
Her research focuses on healthcare disparities and the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare delivery, with emphasis on AI in healthcare, oral health, palliative care, and behavioral health. Her research interests include Medicare payment models, digital transformation in healthcare, and rural health.
Kim leads evaluation efforts for federally and state-funded initiatives supported by PCORI, HRSA, and ACL, and serves on the Behavioral Health Planning and Advisory Council for the State of Nevada. Her work bridges research, policy, and practice through data-driven, community-centered approaches that advance healthcare transformation.
