Odejimi's main research interests are developmental trends in youth and measuring positive youth development in relation to behavior, wellness and performance.

She is a quantitative methodologist for the social sciences with a substantive focus on sociocultural theories of development and academic achievement. Her collaborations are multidisciplinary in areas such as human development and educational psychology.

She also works extensively with multiple imputation treatments for missing data as well as proficiency in ETL in R.
