Biography
Margaret “Missi” Trnka has been a lecturer and clinical instructor with the School of Nursing since Fall 2017. Margaret is currently the Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) Coordinator for UNLV and the course coordinator for Maternal Health in the BSN undergraduate program. She always strives to foster student engagement and student success in her teaching.

Education Background
Ms. Trnka earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nursing Education from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois and is actively pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Education from St. Augustine Health Sciences University.
Research or Scholarship
Ms. Trnka’s current research focus is on improving student engagement in nursing education through the use of game-based learning.
