Michael Hill
Associate Professor in Residence, Entertainment Engineering and Design
Biography
Michael Hill began his career in live entertainment at an early age. He earned his MFA in Theatre from the University of Alabama with an emphasis in stage management. Michael continued his career in a variety of technical fields across a wide range of live entertainment productions. He toured as a lighting designer with a rock 'n' roll band. Michael was a technical manager on various cruise ships, culminating in the construction of a new ship in Italy. He toured the world as a rigger and carpenter with Disney on Ice, and after leaving the road, he settled in Las Vegas. In Las Vegas, he stage-managed Le Reve, was a lead carpenter for Cirque Du Soleil, and most recently the audio supervisor for Jabbawockeez at MGM Grand. Michael continues to provide technical expertise in various jobs as they become available.
