Biography

McKenzie Shelton- Lott is a second-year student at UNLV, studying political science with aspirations of becoming an attorney. She currently serves the College of Liberal Arts as a CSUN senator, as well as the Ways and Means Committee and the Internal Affairs Committee. In addition to her CSUN duties, she volunteers as a CARE advocate at UNLV’s Jean Nidetch Care Center where she supports NSHE affiliates, who are suffering from interpersonal violence to obtain the resources available to them. Finally, McKenzie is a participant in this year’s Huellas cohort, which uplifts students who are interested in the legal field through mentorship. Her ultimate goal as senator is to uplift students and advocate for further accessibility measures.
