Biography

​Mary Hill is a Nevada artist who has been working in art and design for over twenty years. She has contributed to arts literacy programs with the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and has taught lettering and journal arts in southern Nevada. Her calligraphy and book arts have been exhibited throughout the south west region. She earned an MFA in graphic design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2012. Mary incorporates alternative printmaking techniques, such as letterpress, with other creative paper making techniques to produce artist books. She is an active member of the Las Vegas Scribes, a non-profit paper and inks society, and pursues a variety of public art, graphic design, and calligraphy commissions. She was accepted into the Nevada Arts Council 2019-2022 Artists in Schools and Communities Roster. She currently teaches Design classes in the Fine Arts Department at UNLV.
