Marilyn Nimmo
Visiting Lecturer
Biography
Marilyn Nimmo is a visiting lecturer in the Department of Marketing and International Business at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Lee Business School. She earned her M.A. in Communication Studies from UNLV, with an emphasis in organizational and instructional communication and a minor emphasis in marketing. Her academic background brings together communication, leadership, marketing, and applied pedagogy, with a focus on helping students connect course concepts to professional practice.
In her current role, Nimmo teaches undergraduate marketing and international business courses, including Global Business Strategy, Advanced Marketing Management, Experience Marketing, Global Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, and Marketing Management. Across these courses, she supports approximately 200–300 students each semester through structured, inclusive, and high-engagement learning environments that emphasize participation, collaboration, professional skill development, and applied learning.
Beyond the classroom, Nimmo serves as the faculty advisor for the International Business Association (IBA), where she supports student engagement, professional development, and community-building within Lee Business School. Her teaching and mentorship are grounded in student-centered learning and a commitment to preparing students for academic, professional, and interpersonal success.
