Biography

Lonnie Chaney III is a professional dancer native to Las Vegas, NV. He performs nightly as a dancer in the MJ Live Show: a tribute to Michael Jackson produced by Dick Feeny and is also on contract with Illuminate, a new show to Las Vegas that fuses dance and technology to create a visual experience at the Strat Hotel. He graduated from UNLV, Fall 2017 while working gigs locally in the LA/LV area. Chaney has shared the stage with artists like Steve Aoki, Nicky Jam, Logic, JBalvin, Snoop Dogg, Natasha Bedingfield, and Leona Lewis.

His dance skills range from Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Musical Theater, West African, and DanceHall. His dance training at Cultureshock Las Vegas exposed Chaney to working professionals in the community who saw his passion, talent, and hard work at 18 and hired him for his first job on tour as a dancer.

In addition to teaching at UNLV, he is also the director of his very own dance collective, The Village Dance Collective / KidzVill. A program for training and development of emerging artists in a community of all ages. Chaney teaches at various recreational programs and competitive teams for different high schools, middle schools, and local competitive studios in the valley. Chaney plans to continue to inspire and develop dancers' passion for hip hop dance, hoping to continue the legacy of dance.
