Biography

Linc Johnson is a faculty member in the College of Education at UNLV, where his work centers on advancing equity and innovation in education. His scholarship focuses on special education, global engagement in higher education, and the development of systems that improve access, outcomes, and institutional effectiveness for diverse learners. Johnson’s current research includes developing the Johnson Ranking of Global Engagement (JRGE), a framework to assess and compare how institutions operationalize globalization in meaningful, measurable ways. He is particularly interested in how global, technological, and structural shifts intersect with teacher preparation, STEM education, and inclusive practices. In addition to his research, Johnson is committed to preparing future educators and leaders through asset-based, data-informed approaches that emphasize student success and belonging. His work integrates teaching, research, and practice to support more equitable and globally responsive educational systems.
