Biography

Lance Horner, MD, grew up in Reno, Nevada. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno for undergraduate studies graduating Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. Dr. Horner went on to pursue his medical doctorate at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Upon graduation from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, Dr. Horner moved to Las Vegas where he completed a five-year general surgery residency at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, followed by a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Through his years of training, Dr. Horner has gained extensive experience in all facets of minimally invasive surgery with an emphasis on robotic surgery, endoscopic, and anorectal procedures for both benign and malignant disease. Dr. Horner has a particular interest in the role technology plays in surgery as well as the importance of quality of life outcomes for patients.

In his free time, Dr. Horner enjoys traveling, hiking, and golfing. A proud Nevada native, Dr. Horner is thrilled to bring his dedication and expertise to serve patients and students in Southern Nevada.
